The article reads like a rant. There is evidence that aspartame MAY be harmful, just like there is evidence that GMO foods may be. But it makes the mistake of taking on a righteous and absolutist tone that ignores the real debate and this serves to actually make the manufacturers of this crap seem more legitimate that they otherwise might.

One may well ask why this stuff is being put into our food in the first place, oir indeed why we are consuming 12 cubes of sugar in every non artificially sweetened coke, or why Coca Cola exploits child workers and shoots unionists. These are all worthy of discussion. But don't come off as the expert that knows for a fact that A is even worse than it has been shown to be and also hide behind official sounding names.
