since yesterday ,going on today-through all day and night long,60 people gathered infront of the american embassy in AKASAKA,TOKYO .peace groups and individuals came to protest against the u.s decision to attack iraq. among them 20 peaceboat members who opened the day with 48 hours hunger strike. chou misu and yoshioka ,members of peaceboat and worldpeacenow who were part of the people that conducted the peace rallys and demos in tokyo,handed over a petition aimed for the american ambassador. the people are holding slogans saying:" no for war","why iraq","no for invasion" and some are holding candles to show solidarity with the people in iraq.this candles are given by"urumaesa" okinawa group who lead the 15.3 demo followed by their drum beats,and cried out slogans such as:"senso hantai". notable the fact that there was no media coverage to this event and that most of the people who joined are japanese citizens. most of the people found out about this event at: http://www.worldpeacenow.jp at this very minutes peaceboat members are standing outside shinjuku station giving flayers about the 21.3 demo. for more info call world peace now:03-3362-6307 gambate
