David needs your help to make it in the form of contributions or other assistance such as volunteer translators, a place to stay in Tokyo, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, etc. For example the cost of production is about 89,000 US dollars, including editing. If someone can help by travelling with David to Hiroshima, etc. and David has no funds to cover this, TokyoProgressive is willing to pay the train and hotel expensives for at least one person for about one week.

My dream has always been to tell stories on film of people who should never be forgotten. Not merely to generate a nostalgia for the past, but to link the past with the present and the future. While the genocide of the American Indians, of the Holocaust and of slavery should never be forgotten, so too should the memory of the Hibakusha never be forgotten. To keep their memory alive is to link the past with the present in our shared struggle to see a future where harmony and cooperation may rule the earth, not war. Where peoples of all races may embrace life as a precious gift and no longer live in the fear of nuclear annihilation.

　ドキュメンタリードラマ「サッコとバンゼッティの日記」のなかで、デービッド・ロートハウザーは、アメリカの数多い「赤の恐怖」をめぐる裁判のひとつ と して、1927年にマサチュセッツでおこった二人のイタリア移民の無政府主義者サッコとバンゼッティの悪名高い裁判と処刑について物語っています。デー ビッド・ロートハウザーは、パリで俳優として映画の道を歩み始めました。出演した映画・テレビ作品には、「史上最大の作戦」、「Come Fly With Me」、「青髯（Landru）」、「ケネディー」、「私立探偵スペンサー」などがあります。作家としてのロートハウザーは、舞台劇「THE FIRST ALL-AMERICAN PRESIDENT」でマサチュセッツ首席芸術家奨励賞を授与され、ニューヨークのアメリカ映画際では「A GOOD EXAMPLE:Bertolt Brecht and HUAC.」でブルーリボン賞を受賞しました。

In The Diary of Sacco and Vanzetti docu- drama, David Rothauser tells of the infamous trial and execution of two Italian immigrant anarchists in Massachusetts in 1927 during one of the many Red Scares in the U.S. David Rothauser began his career as an actor while living in Paris, France. Among his film and television credits are THE LONGEST DAY (20th Century Fox), COME FLY WITH ME (MGM), LANDRU (Claude Chabrol), KENNEDY and SPENSER:FOR HIRE (Warner Bros.) As a writer Mr. Rothauser was awarded a First Place Massachusetts Artists Fellowship for his stage play, THE FIRST ALL-AMERICAN PRESIDENT and won a Blue Ribbon at the American Film Festival in NY for A GOOD EXAMPLE:Bertolt Brecht and HUAC. David is a recipient of the Sacco-Vanzetti Social Justice Award from the Community Church of Boston for his film, "The Diary of Sacco and Vanzetti"; recently broadcast on WGBH-TV, Boston.
