＜アピール＞ 私たちの一連のメーデー行動は、低賃金と労働強化と雇用の非正規化を強制する 新自由主義政策に反対するために取り組まれます。 非正規雇用の下に置かれている人々、自営業者、低賃金労働者、あるいは就労か ら排除されている失業者、野宿者、障がい者、など不安定な状況に置かれている すべての人々の参加を呼びかけます。 私たちは差別と排除で切り分けられるのではなく、この社会にもたらされている 「戦争」を拒絶することが必要です。 メーデーを自由と生存の日として勝ちとるための企みに加わってください。

Appeal: Mayday for Freedom and Survival 06 – For the Conspiracy of the Precariats
Now that one out of three employees in Japan is a non full-timer – “the precariat.” “You can freely choose how you work!” “Pleasant peers are waiting for you!” – In exchange for such sweet phrases on recruit ads, we are seduced into becoming obedient workers to do low-paid jobs without any guarantees, and often, into willing “contribution” to unpaid works.

It may be unavoidable to misunderstand that doing such jobs is something, and we are tricked to bring out our communication skills and emotions to full extent. We could be even convinced that we are contributing to the others’ lives through personal services. We also expect some chances for “self-actualization” through jobs, we find something worthwhile in trivia works and what is worse, and even these things move us. However, we would soon find us betrayed by our makeshift “craftsmanship” or “chummy clubs,” because we are moving from one job site to another and the seemingly obtained skills would become obsolete before long.

We are too far away from the life in which we go fishing in daytime and discussing philosophy at night, but all dead tired when coming home. Yet someone criticizes us as being lazy or spoiled. All the problems are attributed to the individual’s quality and meddlesome lecturing is spreading out there, persuading us to increase “personal-power.” Exposed to hostilities and mockeries, and threatened by uncertainties, we still have to survive in these insecure days. Are we really asking for it? Who could tell us where we can find decent jobs? Job magazines are flooded in town, welcoming “freeters (job-hoppers)” with fervor, however, we know that the real purpose of the offers is to use us as disposal commodities, which they can hire and cut off whenever they want until we are worn off.

Divided apart, we are made to fight wars between each other in this country. The rough sleepers whose survives are threatened by discrimination and exclusion are forced to live “independent” and thrown into uncontrolled market. Under the new Self-reliance Law, the government cuts down the social security for the physically challenged and forces them to work with self-responsibility, offering little local mutual support. Women are doing the same jobs as that of full-timers despite no rights as a worker to be given. Migrant workers are abused as peripheral labors, being exposed to the state’s security control by infringing policies such as fingerprinting. At this wartime in Iraq, even the murdered are insulted to take self-responsibility to be killed. Just crawling around the town is monitored and labeled dangerous act. Mere “living a life” is being denied. What they examine is who could be useful, who should be left out, and at last, who should be killed.

Stop all wars right away in Iraq, Palestine and this country. Just living a life must not be denied for any instance. Social screenings and exclusion must not be allowed in all places. At every single corner, show that we no longer remain silent after suffering such screenings and exclusion. Make the May 1 the day for the conspiracy of the people who are being imposed unstable days.
