Kimberly Hughes reports on  Inter Press correspondent Isam Rashid's talk and video presentation on June 14 in Tokyo, which was co-sponsored by Iraq Hope: Rashid told the audience of several hundred people that although he was visiting Japan in his capacity as a journalist, his ultimate purpose was as a human rights activist committed to getting the word out as widely as possible regarding the widespread suffering that is now befalling his people at the hands of the U.S. military occupation.  Article is here.

Please join the Iraq Hope Network in signing a petition calling for an immediate end to the suffering of people in Iraq that is resulting from the violent and illegal tactics presently being employed by the U.S. military. The petition will be delivered to President George W. Bush, with a copy to the U.S. Embassies in Tokyo and Baghdad.
