総務省は、「通信・放送の総合的な法体系に関する研究会」（座長：堀部政男 一橋大学名誉教授）において取りまとめられた標記「中間取りまとめ」について、平成１９年（２００７年）６月２０日（水）から同年７月２０日（金）までの間、市民から意見を募集している。中間取りまとめによれば、研究会は、放送法に基づく規律の枠組みをインターネットに持ち込むことを考えているようだ。
