　「景気対策＝財政出動」の短絡的な固定観念から脱却(パラダイム･チェンジ)せねば、混迷する日本にダイナミズム(躍動感)を取り戻せません。
　2兆円を定額給付金に投ずるよりも、1校平均6千万円で実現可能な耐震構造化を、国公私立合わせて全国に3万4千校存在する小中学校で即時完全実施した方が、はるかに安心・安全と地域雇用、更には内需拡大の“一石三鳥”。こうした具体的なパラダイム･チェンジを、他の与野党に先駆けて提唱したのは昨年の秋口。その新党日本は、次期総選挙のマニフェスト「新しい日本宣言。」に「ベーシック･インカム」導入を明記します。

Gavan McCormack's latest essay deals with the issue of US Forces on Okinawa and the Japanese government's disregard for the right of Okinawans to self determination. Plans for the construction of a new base for the US military which will replace the one at Futenma, meet with nearly unanimous rejection by the people of Okinawa and their elected representatives. None the less, Tokyo insists on forging ahead with the project which also promises to cause enormous environmental damage.
